Blog 4: Favorite Series/Movie

Hi everyone, hope all is well :)

Today I will write about "Little Fires Everywhere", my recent favorite serie. I will tell you why down below.

Little Fires Everywhere is an American drama web television miniseries, based on the novel of the same name wrote by Celeste Ng of 2017. It premiered on March 18, 2020 on Hulu (streaming video service) and consists of eight episodes (each chapter lasts roughly an hour).

Set in the Cleveland suburb of Shaker Heights, Ohio during the late 1990s, Little Fires Everywhere revolve around  the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the motherhood, the racism, and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.

Is my recent favorite series because portrays very well the dilemmas of the intersectionality between feminism, motherhood, and racism. In addition, it is a series that problematizes the traditional formation of the family.

The series stars Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington (my favorite character), both of whom also executive produced, alongside Liz Tigelaar, Lauren Neustadter, and Pilar Savone.

I saw this serie in three days. Although not available for free viewing, a friend sent me the torrent. If anyone is interested in seeing it, write me!

That I tell you today, see you in the next blog.
Regards :)
